Blue skies! Views! Westport was a cute little place – favourite place to stay so far. The room at Westport Inn, while not looking much from the outside, was nice and comfy. The dinky little general store was just a couple of houses up. They made food, and so we had pizza for dinner, and and then breakfast as part of the accommodation package.
We wandered down to the little beach this morning, and were rewarded with a visiting seal in the water only about 15m out. Not sure who was checking who out more.
We stopped lots to take photos of the fab views, so ensuing photos will likely engender a bit of ‘and another bloody ocean view’ ennui for anyone who was not actually there (and rejoicing in the lack of fog and smoke haze).
More eucalypts. This is making me homesick!
Lunch in Fort Bragg. He couldn’t resist the pecan pie for dessert.
Cuddling up to a eucalypt.
We took a detour to Point Cabrillo. At one point I’d been keen to book a night in one of the lighthouse cottages, but by the time we knew when we’d be passing through, we’d missed out. Probably for the best – it would have involved self-catering for dinner and breakfast.
Loving the coastline – so interesting – not just long sandy beaches ! Interesting formations !

It’s just stunning. Something about the rock formations, and little bays. And so close to the road too!
